Yıllık ortalama sıcaklık 14.6°C, yağış tutarı 687.3 mm’dir. Bitki örtüsü (kızılağaç, meşe, kestane, kayın ormanları) açısından zengindir. Ekonomi, tarım (mısır, patates, kurufasulye, fındık, elma), hayvancılık (koyun, inek, kılkeçi), balıkçılık ve ormancılığa dayanır.
